Recipe
- Dish: Chicken Fried Rice
- Serves: 1–2
- Time: 10–15 minutes
Ingredients
- 150g cooked rice
- 1 egg
- 100g mixed vegetables
- 50g bok choy & choy sum (sliced)
- 1 spring onion (sliced)
- 1 tsp Asian Kitchen spice blend (salt & pepper style)
- 50ml soy sauce
- 40ml oil (vegetable + sesame mix)
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 100g cooked chicken
Method
Step 1: Get Set
Have everything prepped and ready.
👉 This is fast cooking — once you start, you’re moving
Step 2: Heat the Wok
- Heat wok on high
- Add oil (vegetable + sesame mix)
Step 3: Build the Flavour Base
- Add diced onion
- Add Asian Kitchen salt & pepper blend
- Cook through until softened and fragrant
👉 This is where the flavour starts
Step 4: Add the Egg
- Add whisked egg
- Stir through
Step 5: Add Vegetables
- Add mixed vegetables
- Stir through
Step 6: Add Chicken
- Add cooked chicken
- Stir through
Step 7: Add Rice
- Add cooked rice
- Break it up and stir through
👉 If it feels dry, add a little extra oil
Step 8: Add Greens
- Add bok choy and choy sum
- Stir through quickly
👉 Keep them fresh and vibrant
Step 9: Finish the Dish
- Add soy sauce
- Stir through well
- Taste and check seasoning
👉 Adjust if needed
To Serve
- Serve in a bowl
- Drizzle with a little extra soy sauce
- Top with sliced spring onion
